Sat watching the game quite entertaining but England struggling at the minute.

They could soon be chasing a near record total to win, which seems unlikely.
190-5 off 17.3 W.I.

208-8 Innings closed. Not the record score.

It's got the makings of a cracker I think it's going to be close.

Not looking so promising now, Pietersen stupidly throwing his wicket away again, run out! 86-4 at half-way. It will be close because it's inevitable in 20 overs, they are so finely balanced. I think England needed a big contribution from KP.

I can live with one-dayers, but this 20-20 lark is awful.

Agree, entirely, but it's raining in Sheffield - again - so it's something to watch, along with RUK.
20-20, as a near 60yo, is everything I don't stand for! Strangely, though, as a teenage player, this was the cricket we played - fortunately all the apendages didn't apply then.

------------------------------
4th last over Collingwood survived what should have been 'out' LBW appeal.
Colly's going well with the proverbial captain's innings - 45 to win from 18 balls.
30 required from 12 balls. Rampaul - penultimate over seems to have settled it?
23 wanted off the final over. Umpire, Llong, is spared - justice was done - WI won by 15 runs, good effort Colly nevertheless, with a personal 79.

Still need 20 off four balls. Can't see it happening, I'm afraid :(

18 needed off 2 balls. We've lost, I'm afraid.

To be fair though 197 would almost certainly win any 20/20 match normally. If we can tighten up the bowling in the first six overs tomorrow we should be more thana capable of beating them.

Pietersen is due a contribution. At his best that deficit could easily have been wiped off.
