Right... I'm trying to plan a meet and want to try and get as many people as there as possible. I was thinking how the old meets used to attract a decent gathering, but nowadays we only seem to attract a small number of die hard forum regulars.

Anyway, I thought I would make a move and see what people's opinions are on the subject. Also, would be grateful, if you interested, if you could suggest what day of the week is best for you and where you would prefer to have the meet?

Once I have a bit more info to play with then I will post the more popular choices as a poll and take if from there.

Mega... I'm easy. Don't have too much on in the next few weeks unless I go surfing, but something can be arranged either way.

as for where to go there are loads of places on west street but you have to also bear in mind there are many differant people on the forum with many differant tastes

i mean me and several others like the bars on west street and a club after but many others like a pub type meet thats semi quiet and others that just like bars no club

either way i look forward to the outcome of this and look forward to attending the meet :D

I agree with Katy and Sophie, it is almost impossible to cater for everyone, as some like to go wild on West Street and some like the more tradional quiet pubs where you can speak and hear yourself.

I have been to a fair few meetings whitch cater for both and you tend to get different people going to both.

The Dev Cat meet on Sundays used to attract between 30-40+ people. Seems to have fizzled alot now though.

Yes, the meet at the Sanctuary was indeed a decent turn out and was a great night also. That was like the old meets when there used to be a good turn out week-in, week-out.

I very much doubt we will stay at the one venue, but I dont want us swanning off too early in case we miss a few of the later bunch. Open to ideas on the night with regards to where we could move on to. I have almost got the day after sorted so I can spend it with my special forummer (you know who you are) :hihi:
