I have 4 African dwarf aquatic frogs in my aquarium along with neon tetra, zebra danios, corys and guppies. Last time I went on holiday, I didn't have the frogs & I put a holiday feeding block in the aquarium which did the job. Normally I feed the froggies frozen blood worms every other day which they love but when I go away for a week in the summer, I don't want them to starve! Does anyone have a suggestion?:help:

Can I hijack this and ask where you got the froggies please?
I've been after some African Dwarves for ages and can't get hold of any (although one aquatics shop offered me puffer fish claiming they were african dwarf frogs :suspect: )

I got my 4 from the pet store at Banner Cross, but I have seen them since at Pets at Home (Heeley). Make sure you get the correct frogs - the dwarf frogs look like the young of another type of frog which grow enormous. There are lots of websites with all the info you need when buying them & photos. Note that you cannot use chemical treatments for fish when there are frogs in the aquarium. I also realised that the store owner knew very little about these creatures and the feeding instructions were wrong. One thing I can't find is information on holiday feeding, so I really need some help with that.

Thanks! Do you know if you can put bloodworms in it? I would have thought they'd go a bit manky fairly quickly - they smell dreadful even when they are fresh. My frogs won't eat flake food but all my snails mysteriously vanished the day they arrived in my tank.

I'll try them on some dried bloodworms & see what happens. The problem will be if they float as the fish will eat them before they sink to the bottom. The catfish food I use sinks but I've never seen the frogs eat it unfortunately.
