View Full Version : Hello from Hungary
Hi,
I am a hungarian girl from Hungary. I lived in Sheffield for a year. So I miss it so much now. Now I am working in Tourinform in Debrecen (the second largest city in Hungary) and I am so bored now. I thought maybe I could talk people from Sheffield and improve my English. If anyone is interested in Hungary dont hesitate to ask me about it.

Hello and welcome to the forum.. hope you find the site both useful and hope it also helps you overcome the boredom :)
Anway, I'm sure there will be plenty of people here, including myself, who will chat with you about anything you want, including Hungary.

Thanks for answering, but there were a lot of people asking me a lot of information and I was busy. I see you are off now. Could you write something about yourself?
Do you live in Sheffield? I lived behind Ecclesall road.

What did you think to Sheffield people ? Could you understand our accent ?
I think they are nice people, but some of them had very difficult accent to understand:) We were joking a lot, about love (luve) and some other words.

Yes, we are very fond of that word herc. We do not always use it in the context that it should be used in, if you know what I mean. Were there any other Sheffield words you did not understand ?:)
I'm just learning to use this forum and I have no idea how I can chack my mails without always going backt to the thread and open myself. Can you help me?
pattricia 26-06-2007, 14:03 What dooes fond of mean?
herc, Im laughing at what you are asking. Fond of , means when you like someone. It covers a wide range of feelings between different people. It can mean you Love someone, or you just like them. Hope you can understand my English.
Wow it is a shame I forget a lot because I knew this fond of it is basic just there is time when I cant' remember immediately the meaning and I am lazy to check it in the dictionary and the easiest way to ask it:) And from the way you describe it I can learn a lot:) Isn't happen to you sometimes can't remember even basic words even in English?:)
