Saw on the news that Sheffield has been badly affected by the bad weather so I thought I'd come on and send some good wishes to you all and I hope none of you have been badly affected!

Have been busy on the needles and knitted this baby jacket (http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y247/blondgirl1978/Knitting/P6230001.jpg) and matching hat (http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y247/blondgirl1978/Knitting/P6250003.jpg) The blue in the picture isnt true to the colour, its a bluebel/deniml sort of blue.

Now I'm knitting this blanket (http://www.garnstudio.com/lang/en/visoppskrift.php?d_nr=b6&d_id=13&lang=us) which is large but just a basic 12 stitch square pattern which will measure 30.25" x 41.75", with a crochet border.
I cant crochet yet so that will be interesting!

Anyway I hope you're all well!

I am not in the knitting group(cant knit for love nor money) but would like to welcome you to SF. Have looked at your photos, and have to admire someone who CAN knit. :)

Hi bex  . I'm not in Sheffield either, though my mum is, so I've been glued to the Flood section of SF so that I can pass the latest info on to her. Fortunately, she's relatively unaffected as she lives on a hill, though she's been really worried about the power cuts, especially yesterday with the threat of the dam collapse. What a god awful few days it's been.

Anyhow, I love the baby things - is that the Sirdar Snuggly in Bluebell? I used some of that to make a little ballerina wrap for a friend's baby last year, and it's lovely.

Hope you're well. Let us know how the crochet goes!
