sick of seeing same on reviews about bon jovi albums... basically to me they were very productive and great upto these days (their best songwriting and production..but not really a rocker) then it went downhill!

jon bon jovi developed a whine on certain words, richie sambora's backing vocals werent as apparant and his electric guitar seems to have stopped being fun and he just plays acoustic (very well) but boring boring songs and subjects. They bring out 1 song every album now with the talkbox effect on it and re-write it over and over... in this case the song didnt need it and 'We got it going on' is prob the best song, the new single is ok but overall its another boring middle aged album of un-inspring songs.

theres ONE rocking tune!! ONE!!! file this under pop/country... how the mighty have fallen... get some balls jon and give richie his electric guitar back!

I look at Crush, Bounce, Have a Nice Day and this one as all in the same kinda style..but they get more soft as they go!!.. i keep hoping for a change but doesnt seem to happen.

:( gutted again!

Their last decent album was 'Keep The Faith' way back in 1993. I've liked the odd few songs since then, but there's been nothing since to match the classics to be found on 'Crossroad'.

just to be geeky it was 1992 lol.. but i really LOVED these days album, it was intelligent songwriting for once...but dont get me wrong i love all their previous albums and still play their debut constantly...

how ****ty that the bass player never gets in on photo opps and such.. he's been in the band since the last guy was sacked (after keep the faith) and he doesnt really get shown as a 'full member' ...and as a side note he played on runaway with jon bon jovi before the proper band was formed!!.. what a kick in the teeth! haha

I'd actually forgotten about 'These Days'; I like that one immensely. It has a couple of fantastic ballad-type songs reminiscent of their best work: 'This Ain't A Love Song' and 'Hearts Breaking Even'.

Can't believe their best stuff was a good twelve years ago.

*Digs out the old albums on iTunes*.
