My nan was in Chatsworth Grange for a year. My mother and her sisters were very choosey about which one she should go into and they seemed happy with it. I thought it was o.k when I went to visit but then I had nothing to compare it to. It's at Intake, on Hollybank road I think.

Westbourne House is good, I don't know if Marcella is still the Matron but if she is then you can guarantee good care because she is very good & knows her job.

I have dealt with a few clients moving to Westbourne & them & their families give very good feedback.

Its not an easy task to find a good care home now.

Ask questions, have a good look round, speak to residents already there, If a home is a good one I would think that they would have no objections to the above.

You could also ring the council, I am pretty certain the have a list of approve care homes

Good Luck :)

I will second that , Westbourne is nice and comfortable and they look after the clients very well. My Mum was there until she died and they were lovely with her and all the other people.
Whatever you do .... don't go to the one on Ellesmere Road at Burngreave, that is really **** and they don't give a toss about the clients.
