there very good at putting nights on. but i bet they wont even bother even getting 1 coach to LEEDS on, let alone putting a night on for sheffield people.

what would be a good idea (take note GC)

hire the full venue out of PLUG 3 rooms, or even DON VALLY GRASS BOWL that's alot of people and put a very cheap night on £2.00 admission or free!!! ONLY for sheffield people to mark the event in style, i'm sure after reading the like of judge jules etc, they'd do a set FREE OF CHARGE!! this could be a very very good night, IF GC had any balls about them. WE MADE GATECRASHER one of the biggest names in the country, now put your hands in your pocket and give US something back...

Well I'm sure they've lost like loads of money due to the fire so it could be hard for them. x

The team at Gatecrasher One are working around the clock at the minute to make sure GC stays in Sheffield until GC1 rises again.

I'm sure the people of sheffield will not be disappointed!!!

Keep an eye on the website www.gatecrasher.com for more updates

They provide a service, you buy that service. Why do they owe you anything once you have bought that service???

I agree, there's so many music festival type things in Leeds and they seem to forget Sheffield - there must be some sort of demand. I'd deffo be interested in some kind of Festival to be held at Don Valley Bowl. I refuse to go to Leeds for this sort of stuff out of principle!

They missed the perfect opportunity to hold a barbeque the other day.

I'm up for anything free or cheap!!!
but no one said you had to spend your money in GC1. so i can't see Simon putting on any free events.

it would be nice if we are could have an event in Sheffield for all the GC1 fans as this is where it all started 14 years ago....

Because without the people of Sheffield, GC would be nothing. Its about recognising the people who made GC one of the biggest dance brands in the world, and not turning their back on us and just going to the next city to make their megabucks.

If you want to break it down and get all businessy about it then, legally, of course they owe us nothing. But thats so blindingly obvious I would have thought it didn't need saying.

lets face it-GC is just a business to them-they dont understand or probably even realise the huge impact it has had on many peoples lives
to them its a club-to me it was a life style and culture RIP:D

I've got no love of GC - but it could quite as easily have built up its brand in any city - there was nothing essentially Sheffield about the club or its music in the way you could argue about maybe Jive Turkey, the WARP sound/Occasions, or even (God help us) Niche.

I'm not sure what GC "owe" Sheffield

macdonalds in sheffield would close without sheffield people....wouldnt you say  if a business opens to the public it expects people on it's doorstep to be its bread and butter...you don't open a club in sheffield and expect it to be packed with people from cornwall every week do you

It would be nice if Gatecrasher put on a budget or free event, but why should they? Ultimately the club is a business. I don't expect Spar to start dishing out free stuff just because I've staggered over and bought their naff sandwiches at 4am.
