As from today Team Batfink has taken over the running of Rebels which means we're doing what you rock & alternative people have always wanted and giving you a venue where you call the tunes and we play them for you.

From this friday at 11pm we are giving you rock and the same on saturday, it is now our rock club not baxendales. So there is now no history, its a fresh start, anybody that is fed up with the predictable playlist of anywhere else give us a shot friday or saturday!!

We are in the process of sorting out draught booze for the bar and other drinks stuff, and catering as much as we can to make you happy.

Come along as we want to keep this venue going for the rock scene of sheffield!!

Great news about the draught beer etc I do feel that was one of the main reasons a lot of people didnt like it in there from the vibes I have had.

according to the sheffield stat last year,baxendale is supposed to be the king of nightclub owners in sheffield ,whats changed?

Cheers Nightwish - if we get support now and can afford to stay open until the end of the year, we'll certainly be aiming for a rocking festive time!

Hi to the new team at Rebels!

I was in there on Friday night and I must say, although I was really impressed by the music, the lack of customers was really shocking...could I perhaps make a few polite suggestions?

1) Draught booze (I know this is being worked on, excellent)
2) Open before 11. By 11 o'clock, all your target clientele have already gone to Corp, especially on a Saturday night.
3) Free Entry before 11 - will help entice people in as a "pre-corp" idea and I don't doubt that once they're in, many will stay all night. Will also help get people out of the pubs and into Rebels earlier.
4) More publicity. I only heard about Rebels because one of my mates is a goth who posted some info on the Sheffield Rocksoc forum, due to the Batfink connection. I've seen no flyers anywhere, no posters...
5) Just out of curiosity, why did you choose to open now, just as all the students have left?

In short, great club, great tunes, decent prices but now just needs more people to KNOW about it and come in!!!

I'll try and get the Rock Society down there as soon as Fresher's Week rolls around.
