On Saturday the 30th June and Sat 7th July from 10-12 noon at the Double Six youth Club on Scarsdale Road the Woodseats Festival are putting on a workshop. Free entry.
The workshops will be run by the same people who do the Sharrow Lantern Festival and children in the area are invited with their families to come and build/design/make things like a giant sun, insects, flowers or whatever takes their fancy to carry with them in the parade on the Sunday morning (8th July) of the festival. We want to encourage the local kids to make stuff in a friendly safe environment and show off what they have made in the parade. All materials will be supplied. It's free, it's fun, it's different!! Come and join in and be a part of the whole thing! Thanks!!:)

African drummers to lead Woodseats carnival style parade!! We can confirm that UK Mamma's based at Broomhill will be leading the parade on Sunday the 8th of July setting off from outside Abbey Lane school 10.30am. It's going to be loud, great fun and very different. Children are invited to dress up in their own fancy dress gear and make it all the more colourful and if they've been to the communtiy workshops on the 30th and 7th they can show off their creations too!
