USB suitable for gaming and reasonably priced Thank you muchly :D Ghozer 18-06-2007, 11:12 Razer Diamondback or Copperhead - the best gaming mice you can get... £30-£60 depending which model you get.. probedb 18-06-2007, 12:10 What Ghozer said, they're fantastic mice. But even better is get a proper mouse mat/gaming surface. None of these freebie plastic things. I got a Razer gaming mat (or whatever it's called) and it made more difference than the mouse IMO. algenon 18-06-2007, 12:18 danger mouse sheffdan 18-06-2007, 17:01 I recommend the Logitech LX7 Cordless Optical. Best mouse i've ever had! Withstands severe PC rage!.....throwing at wall etc sugarcube 18-06-2007, 19:27 Logitech MX310 (http://www.google.co.uk/products?q=logitech+mx310&num=100&hl=en&safe=active&um=1&sa=X&oi=froogle&ct=title) a very good mouse great for browsing as it has 6 or 7 (not at my computer right now) buttons which can also be used in games and assigned to go back in the browser etc. 800dpi optical which is good enough for any FPS imho Ghozer 18-06-2007, 19:46 Razer Copperhead is 2000dpi... ;) sugarcube 18-06-2007, 20:44 Razer Copperhead is 2000dpi... ;) ooooh  :hihi: they made that resolution not because its actually usefull when playing, its just to out geek the other "gaming" mice products. edit: and to make rubbish gamers feel like they might have a chance if they buy this "super mouse" :hihi: sugarcube 18-06-2007, 20:49 this intelligent mouse is a genre-defining weapon that makes for penetrating, explosive gameplay. (http://www.razerzone.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=11) LMAO hahaha that is SO aimed at 15 year olds who havent got laid yet!! edit: oops, just thought, you might actually have one....... :hihi: no offence ;) Ghozer 19-06-2007, 00:05 well when your a gamer like me, who likes precision, You notice 2000dpi over 800dpi.... It could be the difference in getting that frag or not getting that frag... Just depends how much of a gamer you are... and no, i have an older DiamondBack (1200dpi) -- im after a Copperhead though.. baileys_mum 21-06-2007, 16:44 Thanks for the feedback folks, we'll look into it  algenon 22-06-2007, 07:04 ok no probs Nutronic 22-06-2007, 11:28 Ive been on a website called Trusted Reviews and apparently Razer Diamondback is actually not that good, or have they changed in 2 years? I want a mouse that is gonna cut down the amount of times i get pwn3d on games like cs:s and BF2/BF2142 etc. I have thought that there is some cool wireless mce out there but if the batteries die midway through a battle I aint gonna look good am I lol. Ghozer 22-06-2007, 11:44 A) Avoid wireless mice, for a few reasons, one being the batteries, the other being the delay between moving the mouse, and it actually happening, Due to the fact its wireles... B) no mouse in the world will stop you getting beaten on games like CS:S, and BF2142 etc.. thats all about practice, team work, and settings... If you set up your PC and mouse properly, it will be easier to play.. people think that a higher sensitivity setting is better, well thats wrong.. you need a high dpi mouse (for accuracy) but a LOW sensitivity setting in game, with a mid-range mouse acceleration setting (so you can still do 180's etc) Work as a team in these games, practice, communicate.. thats the major thing that BUGS me about CS:Source, or 1.6 etc -- 90% of the players are playing for themselves, not the team... C) the positioning of your keyboard, monitor, and how you sit also matters when playing these games.. Guderian 22-06-2007, 12:16 Logitech MX310 (http://www.google.co.uk/products?q=logitech+mx310&num=100&hl=en&safe=active&um=1&sa=X&oi=froogle&ct=title) a very good mouse great for browsing as it has 6 or 7 (not at my computer right now) buttons which can also be used in games and assigned to go back in the browser etc. 800dpi optical which is good enough for any FPS imho Logitech MX510 the way to go. SpeedwayDan 23-06-2007, 16:00 yeah the mx510 or models above it are great, the comfiest shaped mice i've ever used sufc_tom 23-06-2007, 17:31 A) Work as a team in these games, practice, communicate.. thats the major thing that BUGS me about CS:Source, or 1.6 etc -- 90% of the players are playing for themselves, not the team... THANK YOU GHOZER  I completely agree - I got that fed up of asking for simple cover on CS:S just for some glory seeking idiot to go gung-ho and get himself and the rest of his team killed as a consequence. You sound like a very cultured gamer and I am always on the lookout for your types. Add me on steam via my email address tg014k9743@blueyonder.co.uk and maybe have a lil blast and rekindle my faith in the game. |
