What Ghozer said, they're fantastic mice. But even better is get a proper mouse mat/gaming surface. None of these freebie plastic things. I got a Razer gaming mat (or whatever it's called) and it made more difference than the mouse IMO.

well when your a gamer like me, who likes precision, You notice 2000dpi over 800dpi.... It could be the difference in getting that frag or not getting that frag...

Just depends how much of a gamer you are...

Ive been on a website called Trusted Reviews and apparently Razer Diamondback is actually not that good, or have they changed in 2 years? I want a mouse that is gonna cut down the amount of times i get pwn3d on games like cs:s and BF2/BF2142 etc. I have thought that there is some cool wireless mce out there but if the batteries die midway through a battle I aint gonna look good am I lol.

A) Avoid wireless mice, for a few reasons, one being the batteries, the other being the delay between moving the mouse, and it actually happening, Due to the fact its wireles...

B) no mouse in the world will stop you getting beaten on games like CS:S, and BF2142 etc.. thats all about practice, team work, and settings... If you set up your PC and mouse properly, it will be easier to play.. people think that a higher sensitivity setting is better, well thats wrong.. you need a high dpi mouse (for accuracy) but a LOW sensitivity setting in game, with a mid-range mouse acceleration setting (so you can still do 180's etc)

Work as a team in these games, practice, communicate.. thats the major thing that BUGS me about CS:Source, or 1.6 etc -- 90% of the players are playing for themselves, not the team...

C) the positioning of your keyboard, monitor, and how you sit also matters when playing these games..

I completely agree - I got that fed up of asking for simple cover on CS:S just for some glory seeking idiot to go gung-ho and get himself and the rest of his team killed as a consequence. You sound like a very cultured gamer and I am always on the lookout for your types.
