Last night me & Kelk checked out "The New Zone" andI gotta say I was quite impressed! Lots of TV camreas there, wicked Robot dancers which remind me of Eurotrip. Kelly Llorenna did a live PA which I missed (Thank god) and Rotherham United boss Ronnie Moore and the Mayor of Rotherham were getting down on the dancefloor - I guess the chuckle brothers were too busy doing panto to attend.

They've not really done much with the "Diva" aka 5th Avenue side just put up a few extra lights here & there but "Liquid" side is another matter - The dancefloor is white & Glittler tiled, they've spent big time on lazers - I was well impressed, Plasma screens all way across above the dancefloor- They had the "Call On Me" video on at the same time of playing it

The music very much wide variety from the classics such as Prodigy's "Firestater" & Darude's "Sandstorm" to the usual dance & funky house stuff you here just about everywhere, threw in a bit of R'n'B in there too One of the DJ's was poach From Kingdom & Trilogy to be resident at Liquid.

Another good thing too is that they ID'd EVERYONE that went in, no ID = no entry there so take your driving licence or passport with you when you go. The only down fault is that you cannot drink or smoke on the dancefloor (though I guess that won't last too long) and they got far too carried away with the smoke machine from time to time. Drink prices are usual nightclub prices but they do have offers on ie: £1.50 on bottles before midnight.

Overall verdit I say I was quite impressed I can't really compare it it to any other club I've been to which is a good thing, way better than Kingdom and could easily take away alot of their business , the door staff were all really friendly - I would defintally go again but wait till after xmas when all the hype goes down a bit

I hope the door people would think that a bloke with grey hair wouldn't need to be asked for ID

Funny you should say that because there was a really old couple on there. The DJ gave 'em a shout out and said they're combind age was about over 120 years old.

We are going up tonight, check it out!!

as for it being better than kingdom and taking business away, i highly doubt it to be honest!! once its newity wears off people will always revert back!!

kingdom caers for a certain type of clubber, and there realy aint any other club near sheffield who do this, i think you would have to go nottingham/leeds to find another club of same variety!!

OMG

what a change from the Zone!

From the outside to the inside! eveerything is different,
you walk in and there are them windows that look like it is raining all the time, the dance floor is pearly white lol, but felt awful not being able to take the drinks on as tony said!

buy got one free drinks al night, so was realy cheap! FINALLY an establishment owned by broke leisure that i actually enjoyed staying in all night!

the lights was really god, and then you had the tv's which were like projectioned, but went away when they was not showing stuff on them and more lights was behind!
never thought id see such a thing in rotherham!!

Only problem i had was, they would not let me wear my scarf inside, even though i tried convincing them that this was now style lol! im like, "you're making me put my scarf in cloak room? you know how much it cost?" LOL

overall top night
