View Full Version : Need ideas for tidying up my back yard

My back yard is looking a mess and I'd like to tidy it up and if possible have a level area!

I live on a slope so the yard is not level, it currently has tarmac which is badly breaking up and my both neighbours have access across it to their house/outhouse so I can't create any steps although it would be possible to leave a 'ramp' for access. It is about 13ftx16ft.

I have thought about getting the tarmac re-done or buying a load of pebbles, putting some kind of edging down to hold them in and packing it deeper on the lower side to create a level area but don't know what would be best and have no idea of cost.

I would appreciate any suggestions on what to do and any recommendations for people to look at it/do work.

Hi Claire,
If you are in Sheffield I can recomend B.L.Landscaping Ltd. THe guy you need to speak to is Mark on 07734324597, he does a free quote and design, and has a portfoilio of happy customers. He did my mate's fence for her, so know he is reliable and he keeps in touch as well.
Hope this helps
Kathy
