Back in the 6o's when as an 18 year old lad I used to go Firth Park WMC with my Dad who was a "Life Member" I remember the upstairs Concert Room with wooden chairs and tables wooden floorboards (Not a carpet in sight) a pianist playing on the Grand ( No Organ in those days) and an area surrounded with dimpled glass windows...The highlight of the night for me was when those glass windows were opened and a group of Ladies started serving up Hot Steaming Black Puddings, Tripe, Pie and peas Pigs trotters and the like...My Dad always used to drink "John Smiths Ale" he claimed it never made you ill....Is this Club still in business????...I hope it is.

Its still open but nowhere near as busy as it used to be. It is a nice club inside now but the membership has lapsed and the people on the committee are complete arsewipes
