I used to remember the woman who was killed as i was her newspaper lad for a while, she used to read the Daily Express.
claire267 07-07-2007, 21:37 My friend lived across the road, we were at college at the time, when we went round to her house she would always be watching us, then we didn't see her for a while so we we joking 1 day that she must be under the patio, imagine how we felt when they found her head in that concrete in the garage!

I have to be honest, that's puzzled me a bit...I hope he didn't take his CV along with him :hihi:

Burncross now seems to be entwined with Chapeltown. At one time is was a village, and a nice one too. Approach it by Burncross Road, which begins at the roundabout by the Spar/Post Office opposite Chapeltown WMC and the Tesco garage. It passes the library and swimming baths.
I remember this, i lived on stanley road at the time.
the_rudeboy 25-09-2008, 12:03 The victim was my mates cousin.
I lived in tha area at the time and must admit I did go for a nosey.
I remember you couldn't move on the road.
Stanley road had never had so many walkers!

Could have been a wannabe hitman who just couldn't do it
I took great pleasure in being present at the time of concrete ken getting his just deserts on many occasions after boasting about what he had done

went to school with her son paul. my mum used to clean for her at the house she lived in before setting up home with the guy who killed her. It was at the end of horbury lane in burncross. cravens made their money through scrap, the dad did time in prison and befriended this guy whom they took in after his release from prison. the lady in question took up with him, left mr craven and set up home on stanley road. very sad and tragic all round. terrible legacy for her kids to live with.

Its a bit trusting giving your exact address to thousands of random strangers on the forum.... watch your head doesn't find itself in a block of concrete
and as a footnote, Concrete Ken.... probably the funniest nickname of all time.
