Sweet dog- lovely Viszla face and colouring. You are really lucky. Curious to know why someone would choose to cross breed the 2 though - was it an accidental mating?

Lollipop that is one seriously cute puppy.

i don't know if it was an accidental mating, a woman got her for her birthday, got her home and her husband was allergic, they are a very similar dog though.

Yes she is and she luckily has all the good points from both and only a few minor grumbles but otherwise she is a very sweet good tempered dog that hardly ever barks.

I wish I could say the same for Hunny!

I don't really mean that - I think her bad points are more down to her background than her breeding cause of the significant (but very slow!) improvement in her behaviour since we got her.

The point im most concerned is Poppy hates 2-4 year old little girls she goes crackers at them but I have found my neighbours have a young grand daughter and Im wondering if she started off with her somehow but she loves little boys and older girls. Shes crackers

She is a lovely dog I was looking at her for a friend for poppy but you got their a touch quicker than me LOL.

We might actually get to see you in the flesh this weekend as, weather permitting, I am hoping to bring Hunny to the Sheffield Charity Show.

She won't be going in any classes as she is still wary of strangers touching her particularly on her head and growls and barks at other dogs! I think the experience will be good for her though. Socialisation is what she needs now even if it has to be at a distance.

As far as poppy hating 2-4 year old girls CV, I can't say I blame her - horrid things in my opinion! :hihi:

I sometimes wonder if Hunny would have been better with a friend to live with. It may have helped with her aggression towards other dogs. Then again it might not have cause she is best mates with Brude and our friend's dog but she hates any she's not met before.

Hunny has never bitten another dog by the way even when she's had the chance (i.e. off-lead dogs bounding up to her on her lead), she just snarls barks and looks nasty. I don't want anyone who recognises her avoiding us at the show!

Nah then, on that note - Eddy is far worse aggression-wise if he is out with his 'friend' Takara. He feels nervous around dogs so practically goes into heart failure when his beloved Takara goes near one of these dangerous creatures!

He's getting better but I would like to make a point of the fact that living together and meeting a dog on a walk are two entirely different scenarios and you shouldn't feel at all bad for not keeping her with another dog.

Hoping to see you on Sunday although I'm not sure what's happening at the moment, I have two dogs and only me! My sister (usual dog handling assistant :lol: ) is in Devon for the weekend with my dad (back up dog handling assistant!)
