View Full Version : Gatecrasher attendants
Everyone on this board seems to have a problem with the Leadmill door staff! Where i have found them to be nothing but friendly and responsible!
It is the gatecrasher bouncers who i have had problems with! I was enjoying my graduation night out catching up with friends and we ended up in gatecrasher! I accidently knocked into a fire door when on the way to the toilets and one of the bouncers grabbed me so hard by the arm i still have have a bad bruise two weeks on! Then he repeatedly began to scream and shout at me about something that wasnt even my fault!
He was totally out of order! and ruined my night! x
All bouncers are power mad n** heads. Thankyou.
DaBouncer 02-12-2004, 16:24 Did you complain to the management?
Did you contact the council (with his badge number) and report him?
Did you speak to the police and press charges for ABH?
I'm guessing no :suspect:
If people are going to complain then they should at least do it to the proper authorities.

Not quite true, but thanks for your ever so constructive comments.
It must have had your single brain cell buzzing like mad thinking up that one
just whinging like everyone else seems to on this forum! sorry!
And on a graduation night out the last thing i wanted to all dressed up to the nines is go into the gatecrasher offices and complaint form!!
Do you think they'd listen!
carcrash 02-12-2004, 16:29 Some are good and some are bad. The Bad ones tend to stick out more. The good ones you don't tend to notice
DaBouncer 02-12-2004, 16:31 I'm not saying they'd listen at gatecrasher but it's worth a try for nowt.
Failing that you have bruises, so show them to the police.
If you could manage to get his badge number (which legally they are required to show you) you cn complain.
If a door supervisor get 3 complaints against his/her badge number it's an automatic suspension from pending investigation.

I deserved that! It was a bit of a generalisation and I apologise. The majority of bouncers are top blokes- a good laugh. The minority let them all down by thinking they're 10 men and they're a law unto themselves. They're the n** heads, I don't apologise for that 'cos its true. They've spoilt many a night out round sheffield for me and the mates by causing all the bother. Thats why I said it.
Who was it- i know most of the bouncers there and they have alwaysbeen cool with me, if you want to make a complaint e-mail lisa@gatecrasher.co.uk saying what happened and who it was and they can look into it, they might also have a video of the situation as it was near a fire door.
they do have the most made up door policy in Sheffield. I know someone who failed to get in for being from Liverpool
The bouncers in GC1 really do make up the rules as they go along. Me and as few friends got turned away for being dressed 'too smart' on a Saturday night - No offence but I like to make an effort when I go out instead of wearing ripped jeans & scruffy T-shirt, It really does put me off going there.
I agree with with blondie I too have never had a problem with The Leadmill doorstaff, they seem to be reallyb friendly.
ruffness 03-12-2004, 12:17 i too have had problems with the bouncers at gatecrasher, and much like above they refused my mate entry because he had a liverpool accent.
Most of the time if you started asking for a badge number you'd end up with a crack or thrown through the fire door seen it so many times with doorstaff
by no means am i slating all door staff cos one of my family members is
but alot round town have attitude problems and thats my own opinion
there a few bars on west street getting that way as well ,
example myself and a couple of mates smartly dressed non of us are ever gonna cause any bother , bar near enough empty and its the usual were too full or no groups of lads

I understand that this is frustarting but the no large group policy is a good one.
It's usually the landlords decision and just implemented by the doorstaff. If a large group of blokes are together it can cause issues with the other punters. Alot of people feel intimidated by large groups of fellas rolling in.
My suggestion would be to break up into smaller groups as u approach places. That way ur showing enough brainpower to show u aint out causin bother.
what bars were it?

agreed, if youre gonna moan, do it properly tell the management or call up the next day or email or write
How small does a group have to be , when said a couple of mates i ment it there was only three of us altogether
I understand if there are a large group of lads it could make people feel intimidated but all the same they dont seem to bothered about a large group of ladies going in the place and look what happened outside flares earlier this year , you end up with ladies stabbing each other
MUSE is the bar were they never wanna let us in
