Drove through area called Pittsmore / Burngreave early one morning, nobody around. Saw a lot of really grand Victorian houses & buildings. Looks interesting. Anyone know of any interesting places to vist or pubs or clubs to go to?

Pitsmoor and Burngreve are best visited late at night. They have a vey active street life round there. Take lots of cash with you, and don't be shy with it. It'll be really appreciated.

So! It sounds like a really vibrant & exciting area, right? I may visit it this festive season & take my woman with me. Does the blues club have a late bar. It might be good chilling out in the early hours listening to blues & chatting to the locals in a friendly way.

Hello Pitsmoor

me and a friend are trying to visit every pub in sheffield and one area we haven't been to yet is Pitsmoor.

We normally just go into a pub have a quick pint then leave, are we likely to get hassled going in the pubs or when we are between venues?

Which are the better pubs and which do you have to watch your backs in?

How's that going? How long do you think it'll take?

Me and some mates had the same idea the other night. We were a bit under the influence at the time though, so I'm not sure how viable it'd be... :)

Royal oak
Gower arms
Then you can go up the top end and try
Pitsmoor hotel
Bay horse
Tollgate
Happy Drinking

It taking a long time as we worked out that there are roughly 500 pubs in sheffield. We've currently 267 and are bagging newbies at a rate of 10-15 per month. We reckon that we'll finish sometime in the summer of 2006.

Its a hard challenge but definitely fulfilling and we've been in some very interesting places so far with lots more no doubt to come.
