After all the advice people had given me on here. I thought it was only fair to tell you all that I had a healthy baby boy Riley on 07/07/07 :) It's a little late I know but god it's gone fast.

I was in labour for 18 hours and I was so glad to get the home birth that I wanted, especially after people telling me I shouldn't do it, what with only being 19 and it being my first baby, but I would recommend it to anyone it was the best day of my life and I know that having him at home made it so much better.

I was on my own from 6.30am, the midwife came at 4pm and there for the special occassion were my mum who stayed with me from 12 o clock. I really couldn't have done it with out her, knowing what she went through to have me has made me love her so much more. My partner arrived home from work at 7pm. I had the gas and air which was fantastic and a bit of pethadine. They wouldn't give me alot as I was quite near the end.

Then after 3 big pushes at 11.37pm, Riley Thomas came into the world. I was so happy as I wanted him to be born on the 7th, didn't have much long left! He was so beautiful, it was definatly love at first sight.

The fact that I was at home made my labour so much better and so much more relaxed. I had no stiches and I was in my own bed by 1am. Anyone wanting one, seriously GO FOR IT!!! It was excellent!!!

I'm so happy your home birth went as planned as it's where I'm intending to have mine at Christmas (my home, not yours heeehee!)....so far all I've heard from other home births is how great they are, thanks for the encouragement. Enjoy the babymoon!

I am pleased and very very very proud (and suprised) to announce the early arrival of Adam on Sunday 2nd December at 2pm. He was due to arrive on the 21st December but clearly wanted his Christmas pressie!

I won't go into all the details now but he was born mostly at home with not a jot of pain relief, but I had to transfer at 10cm because the contractions mysteriously stopped. Anyway, he is safe and well, and my god I'd homebirth again. Does anyone know how to post piccies?

Anyway, I am off for a feeding session - just thought I'd let the great SF know!

Well, I've seen the young Master Adam in the flesh this afternoon and he is just absolutely totally beautiful! I thought he looked like his dad, but he was sleeping so sweetlly .. awww! why are little babies so lovely, you just have to dote on them!

Mummy and Daddy didn't look so bad either! :)

Hi everyone, just to let you know i had my gorgeous baby boy Joseph Allan Thomson on 16th December at 23.52. He weighed 8 pounds 14 ounces. Birth was a bit of a trauma and after 26 hours in labour i ended up having an emergency c section. Back home now tho and looking forward to our first Christmas as a family xxx

When people (who have never had children) have asked me what it's like when you've just had a baby, I have always said, it's like the best Christmas present ever! In your case shells, it's true! He is beautiful - enjoy your baby and Happy 'the best' Christmas ever!

Had her this morning at 4:55am weighing 6lb 2oz.After 8 hours of not dilating from a cm and then a futher 4 hour actually geting contractions but her heart rate dipping bad, everytime i did have one. then being told if things did not change in an hour i was gonna have to have a c section. She went from 1 cm an straight in to my arms within that hour she is 3 week and 5 day prem. And called Evie Madisun Jean.Will post pics when home x
