Is it just me or are summer knitting magazines often not as inspiring as the autumn/winter ones? Anyhow, I adore the Ogee Lace Skirt (http://www.twoswansyarns.com/cgi-bin/category.cgi?item=PJ-OgeeSkirt&template=project) - just ordered the yarn to make it. Not too enthralled by many of the other patterns though this time. There's a good article on toe-up socks though (if anyone needs another one :hihi:).

Forgot the link (http://www.interweaveknits.com/) to pics of the other projects. the Josephine top is nice.

I love that skirt too Hecate, I'd be interested to see how it comes along. I can't make it myself as I'm banned from buying any more yarn for 3 months. Apparently a whole roomful of yarn is 'too much', and the excuse that it is an addiction is not a good enough excuse :(

I do look forward to the spring editions of the mags as I find there are projects useful for all seasons. My favourites ate the Autumn/Fall magazines. After a few months of flimsy tops in pastel colours I love to see chunky jumpers in deep autumnal colours.

You can never have too much yarn :D .

I'm looking forward to making a start on the skirt. I've been looking for something similar to wear over jeans for a while, and this one is perfect. For once, the I didn't need to sub the yarn either, as it's Rowan Bamboo Tape. I've gone for the same colour as in the picture too. Hope it turns out as pretty. Just have to track down the 6.5 mm DPNs now.

Thanks for that. Just ordered a set. I always forget about Winghams for needles and the like, as I think of them as the lovely fibre place. Very quick response too - received the confirmation email about a minute after submitting the order  .
