Planet Zogg is on that night, its pys-trance though, not sure if its your thing but its a wicked night.

Cargo is on at Plug I think which will be good as well.

If you can wait till Saturday, Sundissential are hosting an event at Void which promises to be good as well

Thanks for the heads up Stormy. Sol - more details below:

FRIDAY JUNE 22ndGROUNDED VS CARGO
GEOFF TICEHURST
KASSIEN
RYAN JOHNSON

June 22nd sees a local derby between two of Sheffield’s finest purveyors of dance floor robotics. In the blue corner we have Grounded’s mighty resident dextechnician, GEOFF TICEHURST. In the red are minimalists, KASSIEN and RYAN JOHNSON, conductors of underground computer night, CARGO.

Any of you attending a Friday night at Plug in recent months will almost certainly know the sonic science behind GEOFF TICEHURST. The first man to go behind the decks in Plug on the opening night before Detroit legend Jeff Mills, he’s locked horns with many of the best Djs who’ve rocked the club… banging out techno alongside Dave Clarke and Laurent Garnier, tech house with Danny Howells and more deeper vibes with The Unabombers, Derrick Carter and Loco Dice.

He’s an expert at ensuring the Plug’s dance floor is suitably warm for the big names while keeping it bouncing until dawn after the guests have done their business no matter whether it’s a big room set, or a more intimate session in the back room.

Picking up Djing dates elsewhere he’s dropped his bag of bombs over at Chibuku Shake Shake and Chew the Fat while turning out his well healed beat selection at clubbing institutions Turnmills and Sankeys. With mixes spanning everything from underground house and techno to ballsy break beat and electro, Mr Ticehurst should mash this one up good and proper…

New kids on the electronic block KASSIEN and RYAN JOHNSON are the brains and Djing allstars behind the minimal electronics night of CARGO. Having delighted Steel City clubbers for the past year, the night specialises in deep minimal robo funk with a healthy dose of techno and naughty electro thrown in for good measure.

Inspired by the likes of Richie Hawtin and Sven Vath, the threesome have successfully added their own brand of moody melodicness to the Steel City’s nightlife. Their weekly Cargo events at various venues have attracted growing crowds while their new offshoot, Four, is equally as popular.
Kassien have enjoyed sets with Yousef and Justin Long at the much lauded Circus night while another jaunt to Ibiza this summer beckons for the crew. Cargo is a slice of the Sheffield electronic underground going from strength to strength. Catch them while they‘re hot…

FRIDAY JUNE 22nd: GROUNDED, doors 10.30pm, adv tickets £4

what's sundissential music like? :)

Bouncy hard house with some hard trance

and where's void?

Its a new(ish) venue underneath Wicker Arches (other side of rd to the old "Arches")

I'll be at Zogg - though there wont be too much house or electro - but Beamish & Oberon are playing who are two legendary trance-techno underground Djs from back in the day ( as they say).

:)
