H.P 01-12-2004, 09:52 I saw one in that bookshop in orchard square, although I can not remember the name of the book or the shop. Theres only one bookshop and it has a coffe shop in it too (hope that helps). I had a flick through it and it was quite detailed, very intresting muddycoffee 01-12-2004, 10:10 Yes I have seen the book, it's great. Has all the most obscure roads in it, hope someone gets it me for christmas. I think it's by veteran star columnist Peter Harvey algy 23-12-2004, 16:32 There's a book by Peter Harvey on street names in Sheffield and their origin. I think you can still buy it, and you can certainly get it fromthe library nuf_said 23-12-2004, 17:16 It's "Street Names of Sheffield" by Peter Harvey £17:95. They have it on the counter at 'Pinders' on Moore St (next to Wickes in town) - read it while you're waiting to be served! (posted on 11 November) |
