Does anyone know of a website or book or suchlike that explains where Sheffield areas and streets got their names from?

I saw one in that bookshop in orchard square, although I can not remember the name of the book or the shop.
Theres only one bookshop and it has a coffe shop in it too (hope that helps). I had a flick through it and it was quite detailed, very intresting

There's a book by Peter Harvey on street names in Sheffield and their origin. I think you can still buy it, and you can certainly get it fromthe library

It's "Street Names of Sheffield" by Peter Harvey £17:95. They have it on the counter at 'Pinders' on Moore St (next to Wickes in town) - read it while you're waiting to be served!
