Ask at the train station to be directed to the tram stop. Get on the tram for Middlewood. Ask for a return ticket to Hillsborough. Do you have tthe post code of the place you are taking the exam? baileys_mum 10-06-2007, 13:50 Ah good, thanks :D exmrbd 10-06-2007, 13:51 I need to get from Train station to Hilsborogh ground for an exam Tuesday, whats the traffic like at 9 round that way and am I best with bus or tram? I was going to suggest the route 53 but half the fleet will be stuck somewhere in the morning peak so like most people have said you are better going by tram:D medusa 10-06-2007, 13:53 If you're arriving at the train station, you can only get on a blue tram there- whereas you need a yellow tram if you're going to go to Leppings Lane. A blue tram from the station (marked Malin Bridge) as far as anywhere between Castle Square and Hillsborough, then change to a yellow (marked Middlewood). Both are every 10 minutes at that time of the morning, so there shouldn't be a long wait involved. On the return trip, yellow trams are marked Meadowhall and blue are marked Halfway. The conductors will encourage you to change at the Cathedral, but they share the route for most of the way. baileys_mum 10-06-2007, 13:54 Ok grand, thanks Nutronic 10-06-2007, 13:59 If you're arriving at the train station, you can only get on a blue tram there There is the one from Herdings Park that stops there too. I know where exactly to get off etc but im going to show her just so she dont get lost :) I just hope the traffic is ok as I aint been down hillsboro when its rush hour. How common are the "Yellow" route trams? medusa 10-06-2007, 14:02 There is the one from Herdings Park that stops there too. How common are the "Yellow" route trams? My apologies- I intended to mean that she couldn't get a yellow tram there. There are purple route trams there, but she shouldn't be getting on one of those at all! The yellow route trams are every 10 minutes, so living where I do along the blue/yellow joint line there is rarely a wait of more than a couple of minutes for trams. For most of the tram route for this journey either the tram is on dedicated track off the road, or the trams control the flow of other traffic, or there is a tram gate where other road traffic isn't allowed. Nutronic 10-06-2007, 16:01 Like i said, I know where we're going so thats ok....I just didnt want her to head off to do her exam and get lost on exam day so thats why we are going through together tomorrow so she dont get a chance to get lost....all she needs to worry about is the fact its not on bramall lane  baileys_mum 10-06-2007, 16:13 Like i said, I know where we're going so thats ok....I just didnt want her to head off to do her exam and get lost on exam day so thats why we are going through together tomorrow so she dont get a chance to get lost....all she needs to worry about is the fact its not on bramall lane  Your mocking me, arent you :| Nutronic 10-06-2007, 16:34 no miss lightyear :P madowl 10-06-2007, 19:31 I need to get from Train station to Hilsborogh ground for an exam Tuesday, whats the traffic like at 9 round that way and am I best with bus or tram?
