I walked past the old building at the back of west bar today (believe it used to make razors etc)

It had a notice stating that there would be changes to the building. I didn't have time to read the sign but does anyone know what's happening?

I would also be intrested in knowing the history of this building.

If you know the name of who used to use the building - probably several over the years, you could try the local history section in the libruary. they have loads of information and pictures. Just look in the card index.

It's the old John Watts building.

Apparently they want permision to demolish some and convert the rest into apartments!
