Notice there hasnt been activity at Bar Sola for some time.

Does anyone know if its closed for good?

It looks that way, as it's been closed for many months.

I need to contact the owner if any knows who it is now.

I keep harping on about this, I really wish someone would regenerate this place as it's structually a fantastic building. When it first opened it was one of the best places to eat and drink in town. I've still never tracked the creme brulee chef down! :( (the best I've ever had!)

It is such a shame it has closed; just as the area is starting to gear up.

Shame, it made a change from the run-of-the-mill dross in town.

I think this was the first bar I ever went to in Sheffield! I loved the decor and structure. Having obviously been to a lot more bars in the city now it was obviously one of the most unique. It's such a shame if it's going to stay closed for good!

problem is, its too hidden and people cant really be bothered to trek that far. it is a beautiful venue, but was never advertised or promoted, which is a shame

last i heard (my friend used ton manage the bar in 2006) they had to close the bar, the owner was in partnership with someone else and they were arrested over drug charges. I also now the bar was badly in debt and struggling to maintain opening with the level of business

One of the only decent and nice places....close - typical!

Even though it was further out than the other awful places like up in town, i did like this place and it was worth the stroll down!
