Me and my boyfriend are looking to find a nice little cosy Italian restaurant in Sheffield. Can anybody reccommend one?

Thanks

I really like L'Incontro which is on Abbeydale Rd, near to thr junction with London Rd.Very good fish and pasta dishes.Smallish place with an a lovely atmosphere.
La Lunna Rosso , which is abit further along Abbeydale Rd , going away from town also used to be very good, despite looking very tatty from the outside. I haven't been there recently though so don't know what its like currently

Pappa Ciccios at Crosspool is my favourite italian restaurant. It has a cosy feel and atmosphere. I go regularly and always have a lovely time. The staff and friendly and the food is always excellent.

I used to really like Casanovas in Crookes (seabass dish was excellent) before it had it's major facelift, not that there's owt wrong with it now mind. I just prefer a little less "ponce" than it offers now!

I like Kittos, the staff work hard for your money. It has all the charm that an Italian should have. Need to bring your own wine. Have found that whilst this is not as expensive as La Scala and Portofinos I enjoy it more.

BB's on Division Street is probably exactly what you're looking for.

La Civetta De Roberto in Hillsborough's quite good, just above the Co Op on Middlewood Road, to get to it catch the Middlewood bound Supertram, get off at Hillsborough Park stop and cross the road, you'll see it as you walk up the opposite side of the road and go past the electronics shop etc.

Portofino on London Road, just past Posford's (or is that classed as Chesterfield Road?)

Well if you're wanting west st/division st area, then BBs is a must! Its just across from Subway... Its BYO wine, so you can get that from Tesco West st :)

Before you go to BB's check out thier health rating on the sheffield city council site. Frightening . . .

Always enjoyed Pizza Volante (Flying Pizza) Glossop Road (Continuation of West Street).

The Fish Soup starter (can't spell Boullabaise!) is to die for!!

Although not in Sheffield, theres one on Sheffield Road in Dronfield - The Little Italy, which I would highly recomend, never had any complaints yet.

Yes I second this suggestion. Really lovely place, probably about the best Italian I've been to around Sheffield.
