got some friend coming over on saturday for lunch and IF the weather is nice we'd ideally like somewhere with outside eating. Not fussy as to what kind of food it is as like everything - only specification is good wine list!
any ideas?

What about Ruskin's Wine Bar opposite the Lyceum?

Granted, it's not the largest terrace to eat on, but you've got a decent selection of wine to choose from.

Failing that, there's Cafe Rouge and Ha! Ha!

Further afield and definitely worth your journey, get up to West 10 in Ranmoor. I promise you cracking food and arguably the city's finest wine selection. There's a little terrace on the front (get there very early and take loads of pennies).
