Hi all. I'm thinking of moving to Sheffield this year so thought I'd ask for opinions and advice here.

I'm looking to houseshare. Where are the best areas to live and what sort of prices will rent, council tax, etc, be? I would need quite a big room, non smoking, and parking space. Needs to be quite a good area really. Anyone know any websites where I could find possible houses?

Are sheffield people generally friendly? I wouldn't know anyone to start with so hoping to make friends with housemates, work mates, etc, maybe do an evening college course so would meet people there. sound like a good plan?

I'm 21, I'm looking for good night life, good shopping , and more job opportunities. I know sheffield a bit, so thought it would be a good place to go.

It's just difficult to know what areas are best. In my town, there are areas I wouldn't go anywhere near, but some people are quite happy living there, so trying to get a good range of opinions.

I am also 21 and moving up to sheffield on sunday where I also know nobody but have a great job to go to!Of what I have seen of Sheffield there seems to be a lot of job opportunities and a lot to do .If you are definatly coming up feel free to drop me a line and if you were interested in sharing a place to live or whatever let me know asap. :D
