My sister has only gone today and adopted a dog, she gets it at end of week as it has an eye infection..

Whats the problem i hear you all say.. well she is only going to Vietnam at the end of June for 3 weeks!! so she gettin the dog an i am having it for the 3weeks she is away along with her 2 cats.
Now i would not mind if i had have been asked but i was not. She was looking into another dog a few weeks back and i told her to wait until she was back as its not fair in the poor thing coming from kennels then shunted about.
Am i being a little OTT being angry?

Rant over:rant: :)

Refuse to look after it. Then she will have to rethink her alternatives and stop using you as a doormat.

I dont mind looking after the dog so much, She takes mine for me its more the fact i feel she should not be taking it on if she about to go away on holiday!

I have to say I agree with you on that. After a year of asking the parents if we can have a dog they have finally said yes but we go away at the end of next week. I wouldn't feel right taking a dog on now just to move it around again when we go away! It's not right on the dog!

not only that i already have 2 dogs, 2 cats, 2 g/pigs and a rabbit! oh plus a toddler... the poor thing is not going to know whats going on.
I am also having her 2 cats which thay are used to my lot but not going to be fair with the new addition. Not only that the dog is 6mth old and i feel its too young a dog for her to have as she works full time.

I know what you mean but to your sister its not an issue as she knows you will have it.

Think the Viper spot on, On this one. She's taking you for a mug on this one, and is think only of only her own wants. Not yours or the dogs that she getting. You are perfectly in the right to be angry and peeved off.

Poor dog isn't going to know whether it's coming or going- I can agree with the position that you should just say that since she didn't ask you beforehand that your place will be too crowded to take a puppy as well when she goes away, and see what she says.

It sounds like she's well and truly taking you for granted, and it's not like a puppy has no needs is it?

I'd be questioning what rescue organisation let her have a 6 month old dog if they knew she worked full time - unless of course she lied to them. It is totally irresponsible in my opinion for her to have got a dog in this situation so soon to going away on holiday.

the work she told them about i am not sure about the holiday! its the sspca, i may be questioning them too cause apparently he not nutered and its her choice if she wants him done! it should be part of the contract she MUST get him done..

I have calmed down a lot cause i seen a photo and my heart melted:hihi: :hihi: but still
