I know it's not a pint, but the best value drink I've found in Sheffield is a double JD & Coke in the Nelson. It's only £3 most of the time, but between 6-9pm on Fridays and Saturdays it's £2. Plus the music is awesome too.

yeah nonna's is a complete ripoff. why pay more than usual just to look rich, i mean come on they could have at least put nonna's somewhere nice in town instead of one of the main roads of sheffield. cheapest pint: €1.20 in sardegna.

Not sure about a pint but Tequila on West St charge £2.80 for a vodka and coke. Ridiculous.

The last time I went in Nonna's I didn't even get the chance to pay £3.95 for a drink, they just ignored me until my wife and I decided to leave.

Has anyone else had that kind of experience in there?

Any bottled lager usually works out at least 4 quid a pint. People keep buying 'em though - all for the privilege of waving a beer advert around. Fools.

One of the reasons for the success of bottled beer is that it is still socially unacceptible for men to drink halves - but is acceptible to drink bottled beers.

Anyway - back on topic - I'm sure one of the hotel bars will win on the price of a pint.

Hmm.... not to sure about that, i think it was around £3.40 for a bottle, probably the same for a pint.

I did buy 5 bottles of that VK stuff, cost about £17 for the round.

Always find MUSE bar to be quite expensive, £3.10 for a stella, although the quality is prob the best on West Street.

I can't believe Varsity prices. even on a Monday when a pint just about everywhere is £1, they charge something like £2.95. And thats just for a Carling!
