Id like to say many thanks to the kind lady in Hackenthorpe who took the time to stop her car and pick my dead cat Amos up from the side of the road. She kindly wrapped him in a blanket and took him to my neighbours house
Luckily they knew he was mine and we were able to have him back and put him to rest in the garden with the cyclamens.
I know he was an old geezer but he'll be very sadly missed...the house just isnt the same tonight. Everyones very quiet and upset
So once again kind missis, your actions meant that we wont spend days and weeks looking for him, that he wasnt just left by the roadside and that we could bury him at home...thank you :)

aww, i don't know what to say - i'm so sorry about your boy, but i'm really glad the lady's actions meant that you aren't worrying about whether he's dead or alive or suffering. poor old boy, but at least it would have been fast.

*big hugs for you (and maybe a few tears)*

I'm so sorry to hear about Amos Squaffy, but I agree that it's so much better for you to know and to have him back.

Knowing is better than not knowing even if what you know is bad.

Have a hug, and I hope your family can move forwards knowing that he was loved right to the last.

Aaaaw squaffy that is so sad and I'm sorry you have lost your cat in this way. I'm glad the lady stopped though and you are able to lay your cat to rest.

Aw big hug.

I lost a cat of mine Smudge on the road twelve years ago and it was some comfort to me when I found out what happened to him. After trawling the neighbourhood for clues, we eventually found the man who'd found him cowering under the bushes. He'd wrapped him up and taken him very badly hurt to Thornberry animal sanctuary.
When we went there, the lady who'd dealt with him had tears in her eyes as she'd held him whilst he died. She said she could tell he was a loved cat as his coat was so silky and well groomed (he was a black persian). They'd already buried him at Thornberry.
I lost another late last year, my cat Nikki who was nearly twenty and I never found out what happened to her. :( Seemed unfinished after twenty years.

It's better to know IMO.
