right, was being given a mobile
but it wouldnt do anything as it had the number transfered to the persons new phone.
some bright spark told me to put my orange (the same network) sim card from my old phone that the batteries died into my new phone.

when you put money on it, which payment card thingy do i use? the old card (for the sim) or the new card for the new phone?????

it also doesnt seem to want to connect to gprs? (subscription problem)
and wont phone my home phone
is it because i aint got any credit? or cos ive swapped sims? (both orange)

you can tell ive barely ever used a mobile :P

Orange are currently giving them away - I ordered 5! So at least it won't cost you anything...

never mind, googled it :)

the annoying thing is..........it asks for a phone number (to text when its on its way)
i dont have a working mobile so left it blank (thats the bloody reason i need a sim card, tch), it then flagged it as needed and marked it orange...must fill in.
so i filled it in with my landline....it acepted it :P they cant text me mind :D

What sim card did you have originaslly? Your phone is probably locked to that provider.

If you just want a basic phone then virgin do a Payasyougo one for £19.99 which includes 200 minutes
