Hi all,

My beautiful border collie, Molly likes the TV too much :hihi: as in she gets very excited and often jumps/barks/tries to eat the characters on the screen (her favorite programmes are... deal or no deal (clapping), anything with horses, dancing fruit adverts and anything with shooting/action.):loopy:

We have tried different techniques to get her to stop... telling her no, treats wen she turn to look at us rather than bark, putting her in the kitchen wen she barks, ignoring when she barks. Any other suggestions would be useful...:help:

She is a lovely dog and goes on very long walks (not that anything tires her out.. not even 25miles). She is 2 yrs old and we have been living with this behaviour and its getting very irritating.

Any advice would be useful

Cheers x

We used to have a german shepherd that barked like mad every time he heard the ding on family fortunes(he thought it was the doorbell), we didn`t even have a doorbell!
Solution was, not to watch family fortunes:D

Every time the music to Emmerdale comes on,
Barney flies at the telly waiting for the cows or sheep
that sometimes come on at the beginning with the music.
Then when they've gone past hes convinced they are behind the telly.

Weird that you say that...I have a border Collie, shes nearly 3 now and whenever she hears violins, piano and a few other noises on the tv she goes right up to the screen. tips her head to one side and just stares at it!!! She's always done it and doesnt seem to be showing any signs of stopping anytime soon!!!
