That's £1600 plus per month, £19,200 rent per year. No wonder students are poor and landlords are not always popular. I suppose market forces have something to do with it .......

thanks, Bloomdido, that's actually less than £1000 per month. Your landlord must be chuffed if you haven't figured out you're over-paying him....

With mortgages in Crookes costing around a grand for a house this size and all the other costs such as maintenance, insurance and furnishing...it's no wonder that students are happy that there are quality landlords with competitive prices as the Uni charges a lot more...

I remember in 2001 a house in Crookes would cost £65,000. The landlords cottoned on to this and bought up all the first time buyer houses. As a result first time buyers are competing with wealthy landlords and professionals gambling on mega mortgages to get anything. You would now pay over £100,000 MORE for the same house!!!

The problem? The government don't tax rent income to landlords enough; maybe if they did buying and letting wouldn't be so attractive. The whole thing gets my blood boiling at how landlords have ruined the housing market of this country, but this is no reflection on the current advert. I'm sure the house reyt good.

There ya go Ged, just bumped your advert!!

I calculated the doubles as two people sharing. So it does come in at under a Grand a month.
