Had enough of the grim weather and traffic up here? We have a very lovely detached, four-bed house in Newquay, Cornwall for sale. Currently on the market through an agent there at 215k, but we would happily do a private deal at 210k.

Seven mins walk from the Newquay Bay beaches, but a world away from the mayhem of the town centre in summer. Odd, but when you crest Trenance Hill (300 yards from the main street) you're in leafy suburbia. Somehow the visitors never realise it's there. Anyhow, you also get a sun-soaked (we have olive bushes that live outdoors all year) south-facing slope to live on, and amazing views of Trenance boating lake, the Gannel Estuary and farmland beyond.

Check out the following filmloop site Mrs J put up. In between the flower pics you might get an idea of how cool it is (unless you like flowers of course, in which case feast your eyes on tulips and palm trees):

We are also contemplating holiday lets by the way.Only danger is that you'll nevercome back.

Incidentally, a part-ex deal could easily be done also. We are looking for a three-bed house in S8 at 160-180k. I know you're supposed to buy up the property ladder not down, but we have cunning plans...
