Three-bed unfurnished house in S8 or S7 wanted, for three professional adults and one two-year old. And a little dog. Not a menage a trois, I hasten to add. We want to live with a friend. For an initial six-month let as are relocating and unsure whether to bother buying back here for a while.

Unfurnished because that's one thing we don't lack, having a house-full and a shop-full of the stuff.

Doesn't have to be a palace. In fact we're happy to decorate a scruffy place if needed.

As we're currently paying a mortgage on the house we're selling, we're a little price-sensitive. But discussions on the subject welcome.

Thanks, Peri. However, I fear that's a couple of hundred adrift of the available budget. I know rents have shot up since the buy-to-let boom, but all we want is a nice, simple, three-bedroomed place at a rent that allows us to pay the bills on the Newquay place while it sells.
