Perhaps the sad thing is how many of my favourites are American, one reason for this I guess is the frustrating fact that British shows only last maybe 8 - 10 episodes whereas their American counterparts usually last 24 episodes.

Ive never even seen 24 or Prison Break and hear they are just as good - perhaps then I should stay in more??

I used to love Jonathan Creek. It had the mix of quirky and supernatural and Alan Davies played the part so well
