The National US college basketball championship team is in Britain for four games. The first game was played against the London Towers, and UConn was soundly beaten by some excellent perimeter shooting by the Towers. They next played Milton Keynes which they won, although the MK guys led by 11 at the end of the first quarter. Inexplicably the MK coach sat his stars for the rest of the game. Once again European teams are showing that NBA type basketball can be beaten, and perhaps teaching our guys a lesson. I would like to think Sheffield was one of the venues for this tour but don't think so.
Buck, they played towers again last night (which they won) and are playing Brighton over the weekend. Unfortunately visiting teams tend not to venture very far up North.
On the subject of NCAA.... WOO HOO TARHEELS!!!

Hi Drunkenstein, Not a great year for Huskies, but we love em all the same. Surviving in Taxachusets I see. I tried that for a while, living in Chicopee, then found a home where you really get taxed, Connecticut thr land of steady habits and corrupt governors, at least its not Texas.
