I only like a few dance songs.

My favourite is a very old un and they went on to become indie band Doves so not surprisingly really.

It's Sub Sub 'Ain't no love (ain't no use)'

Most Anthems aren’t suitable for dancing, they’re usually more suitable for marching. Hendrix tried to update the Stars & Stripes but instead of eliciting dancing it nearly cleared the field. My favourite anthem is The Internationale but when its played people tend just to hold hands, look a bit uncomfortable and move their shoulders up and down a bit. Perhaps a South American or Caribbean anthem would get the feet tapping?

Spin spin sugar is by The Sneaker Pimps, the Armand Van Helden mix is the one to get.

Chime by Orbital.
Runaway by Nuyorican Soul (Armand Van Helden Mongoloids In Space Mix).

Aaawww, and here was me thinking this was going to be the live version with the Bon Jovi / Belinda Carlisle mix. So stupid and so wrong, but at the same time so completely right.

Does anyone remember 'U sure do' & 'It's not over yet'

There was also an 80's dance/techno band out called Capella, they were one of the first I can remember to use the metal synth sound in the background music to tracks like 'U belong to me' & of course 'U & Me'
