I think it'd be a very good idea, any which way, for S.F. to form its own Over-65 Pop Group or even Strip-Tease or Pole Dancing Society. With a bit of Rap thrown in for good measure, this could sweep the nation, as we know it.

I fancy doing a bit of Pole Dancing for a start, maybe dressed in a flimsy loincloth. Being male, I would, of course be completely topless and even middle-less.

We could make our own rap and pop songs up to suit senior citizens----like;-

Listen Mother, Gonna Shove This Bus-Pass Downa Your Throat 'Till Ya Gi' Mi Some Hot Lovin', Dude

or

Post Office Queue Blues...........Killed Me a Hoodie Today, Poppa, Innit.....
Wot Else Ya Gonna Pierce Momma Baby ?................etc

We could have tasteful striptease, carried out to the ' Sound of Music ' and Mad Raves at pubs in town-------Sweet Sherry Orgy Time.....Wincarnis and Totally Wild........

This could really take off and all we need is Confidence , not forgetting the Imodium of course.

I thought it was very heartwarming - it made me feel good and bad.

The 100 year old bloke still working! How fab! But the treatment in the homes and the lonliness.... that's so sad. I think no matter what else happens the people that took part in the recording of the album will have made some new friends. There was one woman who'd never been on a high speed train, she said the last time she was on a train it was a steam engine! And for some it was their first ever time in London.

i saw it, it was so sad when that woman hadnt left her house for three years and all she wanted to make her happy was m and s pork pies, to remind her of her youth bless her. There were some great characters on it though all really great people!

If you bring the age down to 55 +, I'm in there. Oh, and don't forget the Tena Lady, either!

I didn't see the programme - sounds good, I'll have to see if it's on the wotsit on Virgin that lets you see programmes you missed!

Dozy, if you're 55 + and not in bad fettle, well, we might be able to squeeze you in------that is if you don't mind being squeezed in ?

Must warn you, though, that things DO get a bit wild. Last week there was a punch-up in the Gin-Fizz Bar & Disco over some free Horlicks coupons ;there have been some very nasty goings-on in the Sunset Lounge during the Sing Something Simple sessions. Only yesterday, an old biddy of 87 smacked a teenager over the head with a tin of beans for, " looking at her ."

So, it can get a bit like the Wild West but if you watch your P's and Q's and keep off the subject of wrinkles and piles, then you should be o.k.

We are planning to meet in a Downtown Pub, one Saturday, about 11 p.m. Bring your own knuckleduster and ear-plugs.

I take it from your ridiculous comments that you never actually saw the programme, if you had you would have seen that it was about much more than just a bunch of old people making a record. It was a documentary about how the elderly are treated, what life is like for them, the loneliness, the way they are neglected in care homes and the thing that upset me the most was the fact that most of them never get to leave their homes. So maybe its just me being over sensitive but I didn't appreciate your stupid suggestions, have you no respect for the elderly, don't forget you will be one yourself one day.

A friend circulated this to me via MSN, and she was in Australia. Maybe it is really making its way round the world!

It was sooo funny, it's quite cute.

Hurrah for the elderlies! It sure does make you think about what old age will be like. Now, maybe I won't speak as loudly to their face and make them think I think they are deaf or something... :hihi:
