you can use one of them crisp packet boxes, go to your local shop and ask them for one, just rememer to hold the bottom if your cat is fat. i personally find it much easier to carry them in your coat, you can stroke them and keep them carm that way.
whenever ive popped one in a box, it has pi££ed in it

You can buy cat carriers from the Cats Shelter in Broomhall. They said to me that sometimes people leave the carriers at the shelter when they drop a cat off there. They sell the 2nd hand carriers for a reduced rate. I think they have a few new ones as well:

1 Travis Place, Broomhall, Sheffield, S10 2DB, England
Telephone No. +44 (0)114 272 4441

They are in S10 but I don't know if they are close enough to you to make your own way there?

I got mine from Petsworld. It cost £50 but I'll probably have it for the rest of my cats life.

So if my cat lives to 15, the carrier has only cost me £3.33 a year - Bargin!

We've got a couple of folding ones - the Nylabone Fold Away pet Carrier- from B&Q (cost about £45 but Ive seen it advertised elsewhere on the www for £65!) plus a folding heavy duty fabric one from Jolleyes Pet Store that was reduced to a sily price. Both are good n sturdy and take up virtually no space when stored flat- a blessing when you live in a poky terraced house. We often have ot take 2 cats together for their check-ups so one of these is sufficient for our big-breed cats.
