Runningman 29-05-2007, 19:02 Hi Anna E mail me at steelcitystriders@hotmail.com NickDuggan 29-05-2007, 21:54 We are Sheffields newest running club,we cater for runners of all levels and abilities. We train regularly on Tuesdays and Thursdays from Don Valley at 6pm and organise weekend runs throughout the city.We recently had a dozen new members run the Sheffield half marathon.visit www.sheffieldrunningclub.co.uk for details, come and give us a try no obligation.Look at Sarahs story she joined from the forum. annaS 31-05-2007, 22:21 thank you for the running info Nick, bladesufc1 and garbheinn. I did sheffield half last year - never raced for times before but had the opportunity to join Brooks Running Club on their last trial run from hunters bar-keen to push myself (a bit!! she says realising what a dangerous request that could be!!) My favorite run is the 6mille round lower Derwent Reservoir which i do at a very modest pace (with the 11mile a more challenging sunday morning run if i've got someone to run with) Any idea if any groups go out of the city-particularly interested in early sunday mornings? Mr Alex 01-06-2007, 23:27 Hi Anna I meet with a few Nether Edge chums early Sunday morning at the gates of Endcliffe park. Join us if you fancy.....PM me if you're interested. Sheffield Running Club are great to run with too on Tues & Thursday evenings. Cheers Alex annaS 03-06-2007, 19:46 Mr Alex I definitely am interested in Sunday mornings if you're going out. On Tuesday there are currently 2 groups which go out for around an hour. The slower group covering 6/7 miles andd the faster group 9/10 miles. On Thursdays we do speed sessions, with people with a range of ability joiniing in. We also meet most Sundays and do runs in and around Sheffield. Last Sunday we met at Rivelin Valley Fire Station and ran to Dam Flask. Other Sunday runs include Deepcar, Whitely Woods and Ladybower, so there's lots of variety. Meet us at the track at Don Valley at 6pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. flufftier 29-06-2007, 10:18 I think there is a running club in Killamarsh - I see them running all the time. I go running 4 times a week and have been looking for somewhere to join. I live around the Hackenthorpe area - any ideas?
