Hi, if anyone knows anything much about electric guitars could you please look at the two below and give me some info as which is best / any bad points etc.

Also if any one could check out the last link thats an acoustic guitar I'm looking at - just something fairly basic as I'm a beginner. Thanks alot

I'll give you my opinion if you like, though it's a long time since I was a rock wannabe practising 'House of the Rising Sun'.!
If you are just starting learning an acoustic is ok for learning chords etc, no amp required and your neighbours will appreciate it more!
But £36? is that right, I tend to think you get what you pay for. Look for a steel string country/folk guitar in the £200 range if you can afford it.
Once you get fairly proficient you can get an electric and Ibanez I remember from my rock years (when I used to read guitar magazines on the bus) as a good name. However a lot of established companies now get their cheaper ranges made up in China etc and just stick their badge on it - a bit like Nike trainers etc.

They're all okay.

Time you bought one m'dear! You could have gotten in two years (or however long you've been looking) of practice by this time ;)

I'd go for the cheaper ibanez, in terms of value-for-money.

It depends on what you are willing to play, if you are for the metal side, I think the Ibanez RG270B is the best for you (from the guitars you mention). It has kind of Floyd Rose and 24 freets.

The other Ibanez has 22 freets that are not enough for some metal songs. It doesn't have Floyd Rose so you won't be able to use the tremolo like joe satriani or some other metal guitarists. So, with that guitar you could play anything but not metal.

Not a great description but hope this helps:)

Cheap trems are pretty much useless and just make restringing more painful than on a fixed bridge in my opinion. I have a proper floyd on my USA jackson and it's nice for crazy screaming noises and so on but to be honest, when it comes to restringing time I wish it wasn't there! So much fiddling with springs and stuff to get the action and tuning right...
