Watched this last night and thought it was one of the better horror films I've seen in a while. I know it's been out ages but I never got a chance to see it when it was on at the cinema.

Have to agree with alot of people who have rated it highly, great film, full of suspense, scary moments and nice ending too.

If you want to be scared on a rainy night in - like tonight, get this, it's great.

The Eye (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0325655/) ;)

The Eye...the first of the Pang Brother's trilogy. It's a cracking example of oriental ghost story, and chilling throughout. The second film is good too, but lacks something. Not seen the third (apparantly called The Eye 10 as it is about 10 ghosts).

Sadly The Eye is also yet another film due for a US make-over (it comes out in the US this October). However, it will star Jessica Alba, so I'm there!

The Eye is really a good film, as is Eye 2 too.
Also the Ring Trilogies. Scare the heck out of you. It did to me. :hihi:

I've yet to see Grudge, but that is another good one too.

I hate remakes. Some of the original element is always lost in translation.

Whats all this with horror movies named after body parts? The eye? The hand? Whats so scarey about that?
Now, if it was The appendix or The walking lung or something, Id go watch that, but the eye? If your attacked by a bloody big murdereous eye all you have to do is poke the bugger with a pencil or something. Chuck salt at it. It`d be buggered!

I haven't seen the remake of the Eye, but I liked the original. Also, in the original, there's a scene where all the ghosts are walking past the traffic. In one of the in-car shots if you look closely, you'll see that one of the ghosts pushes his bare arse cheeks up against the window. This made me chuckle.

I've just noticed there is an Eye2 on play.com, who have a very good Tartan Extreme section.

It's a good selection, but the prices are fantastic. I just ordered Tetsuo and Tetsuo 2. Crazy films. I also ordered Lady Vengeance, which I haven't seen yet but I've heard is great.

Ichi the Killer is still my favourite Tartan film. The Idiots is very good too.

I was going to say, that is a good list. There was another good J-horror movie which was quite rated like Ring. I've forgotten what it was called. I've read that the movie makers was capitalising on the international success of Ring, so they churned out a few more which was pretty decent.

It could be Reincarnation...
I do like the sound of Dumplings. I think I know what the story line is about. Yeugh. :hihi:

I've seen Tales of Two Sisters, and Dark Water. They're not *that* scary. Audition was quite freaky and scary. This was on tv last Halloween, I think. I couldn't even finish watching it. :gag:

I've been collecting good decent horror movies for a while now. :hihi:

You might be right. I think it was distributed through Tartan. They distribute films from loads of countries and film makers.
