He also liked the film even though it is stark and upsetting. I have the Bowie song on mp3 to remind me of the days when I used to read the story to my lad. ChrisTodd 27-05-2007, 08:12 It is an excellent film, and book too. It also shows just how ineffective the actual Government information on how to protect yourself could have been. Snook 27-05-2007, 10:06 Its a very funny and touching film/book/play. I've been lucky enough to have seen the play and film, both excellent. I also have the soundtrack around here somewhere, also very good. Halibut 27-05-2007, 10:13 Also by Briggs is the excellent 'Ethel and Ernest' which charts the relationship between Brigg's parents, from meeting to their eventual deaths. Makes me cry like a baby. |
