We had 2 weeks on the cote d'zur and it was absolutely fantastic!
Mind you we go there every year anyway, but it was different just because it was our honeymoon and we stayed in a different place.

these all sound ace! we're (well i am!) considering a weekend in new york. We cant leave the kids too long so somewhere for a weekend would be ideal and I've always wanted to visit, so its perfect. Plus it'll be christmas time and I like the idea of trying to get my beloved on that big ice rink lol

sounds great! we took our daughter with us as well as half a dozen babysitters!! Sounds a bit odd for your honeymoon I know, but it meant that we weren't seperated from her for 2 whole weeks and could go out together and do what we wanted on certain nights.

I thought of taking the kids, but our son is severly disabled which makes travelling with him a nightmare, we have a touring caravan to make things easier for holidays but I dont fancy a honeymoon in that lol, bit cold!

Venice and Sardinia :) :D

Thought about driving round the Italian lakes but the lady wanted to do a bit less driving and more sitting and chilling so Sardinia it is. Had to arrive in Venice and stay in an expensive hotel though.....:hihi:

Caribbean!!! I love to visit some of the islands there someday! My friend have been there and saw his pics and they were really having fun and excitement. I'll definitely go scuba diving there!

Anyway I'd love to be in these places for honeymoon:
They are all in Europe!
Santorini, Greece
With picture-perfect beaches, majestic volcanoes, and an abundance of wine, Santorini is the ideal place for a romantic getaway. The small villages and beach towns offer privacy, but with enough nightlife to ensure boredom won’t be a problem. Many of the resorts are located on cliffs that provide spectacular sunset views, and the black and red volcanic rocks offer a unique setting.

Venice, Italy
With its winding canals, singing gondoliers, and rustic palaces, Venice is a great city for a romantic vacation. The church bells, cobblestone streets, and abundance of intimate cafes and restaurants provide the perfect honeymoon ambiance.

Zurich, Switzerland
Built along the banks of the River Limmat and surrounded by breathtaking mountains, Zurich has something to offer every traveler. Tour the many museums and cathedrals, or visit the beautiful Botanical Garden of Zurich for a more peaceful escape. Zurich has a good club scene, from techno to jazz, but they do tend to close rather early.

Paris, France
As the premier honeymoon destination in Europe, Paris deserves its reputation as the romance capital of the world. From gorgeous parks and gardens with cozy benches, to street after street lined with little sidewalk cafes, Paris offers plenty of places for newlyweds to cozy up with each other. From restaurants to museums to shopping, Paris has it all, and there’s hardly an image more romantic than the Eiffel Tower lit up at night.

And Here for places in Asia:
1. Boracay, Philippines
2. Thailand Resorts

I'd definately reccommend Santorini as a honeymoon destination, I went a few years ago and its one of the most beautiful places ive ever been- I soooo waned to go back and get married there, but due to elderly relatives we didnt.
But we did spend our honeymoon in Thailand for 2 weeks, in Phuket and Bangkok, and that has been one of the best holidays and experiences of my life so far!

Hehe... well for us it'll be a caravan in Luce Bay, Scotland with the kids... Really it's because it's free as a friend owns it, the site is very quiet apparantly, which isn't really 'us' (not noisy, just like things on site whereas this is only has a playground and a shop). If I had some cash (all going on wedding itself), I would go abroad. We could probably afford just me and him, but I think I would miss the kids too much all that way away for a week- what are others thoughts on honeymoonin minus the kids? I would love to, but scared I would be too upset to enjoy!! x

As my wedding is in November, winter honeymoons and budgets dont mix too well, I've found 7 nights in Tunisia, all inclusive for £460

i think its depends on what time f year you are getting married and what type of honeymoon you want. My OH and I are getting married in July and are wanting a relaxing beachy holiday so are going to cyprus. We used travel cousellors who are online based travel agents (alison shipman our particular one) who are really helpful even if you don't book with them they can give you some really good advice!

A fantastic mix of island luxury followed by tacky American surrealism!! :-)

Would you believe my DH-to-be has planned a biker trip around Italy for our honeymoon (don't ask - I lost a bet!). The highlights gonna be a tour of the Ducati factory in Bologna. We're staying 3 days there and I warned him the hotel better be top notch! Have any of yous stayed (or know anybody who's stayed) at a really nice hotel in Bologna? He's talking about booking at someplace called Savoia Country House which looks nice on the site (http://www.sletoh.com/hotel/Savoia-Hotel-Country-House-35123.html)but you never know - I want a Plan B just in case!

For weather, if you want it warm would it be somewhere like the Canary Islands or further afield? Or do you mean anywhere, UK included?
