Fantomas 24-05-2007, 08:12 There's a bit of info on the official site: http://www.greatrun.org/events/event.asp?id=61 bladesufc1 24-05-2007, 08:40 This looks really helpfull if you've never done a long race like myself! a FULL 16 week programme, from a 10K run to a marathon!! http://greattrainer.greatrun.org/Index.aspx?SessionID=3ad1456f-1567-4c45-b25b-a7ed39469803 Jonnymango 24-05-2007, 08:44 I've just followed that link from Fantomas - you can actually register for the race from the website now. Thanks peeps. DaFoot 24-05-2007, 11:59 That's me signed up and paid :) frankief 24-05-2007, 22:03 So the Great Run organisation opens up another franchise. They are getting to be the McDonalds of running. Why not support a local race run by the many athletics clubs in Yorkshire? DaFoot 25-05-2007, 07:06 I would do when I come across one that I can get to (not doing other stuff) andthat will have a decent number of plodders (I dont want to be left behind by *everyone*!). lazyherbert 25-05-2007, 07:54 I would do when I come across one that I can get to (not doing other stuff) andthat will have a decent number of plodders (I dont want to be left behind by *everyone*!). My sentiments exactly. Most of the runners in the clubs are O.K. but they do not take account of us plodders & walkers & it puts me of from going. DaFoot 25-05-2007, 08:18 A fellow plodder? What sort of time you aiming for in 10km ? I'm a shade under an hour @ 58-60 minutes...if you're around the same and in Hillsborough... Why not support a local race run by the many athletics clubs in Yorkshire? I will do, and often do thanks Frankief.
