View Full Version : Shrek 3 - Is it worth watching? cherry drop 23-05-2007, 18:53 don't no if any of you will have seen shrek 3 yet but do you think its worth watching Rich 23-05-2007, 18:59 It isn't out till the end of July. Anyone who sees it before then unless they live in US is an evil Pirate who deserves to walk teh plank IMO! cherry drop 23-05-2007, 19:00 well if n e 1s seen it on copy or previews does it luk gurrd ANGELUS 23-05-2007, 19:35 It isn't out till the end of July. Anyone who sees it before then unless they live in US is an evil Pirate who deserves to walk teh plank IMO! OR... mr rich.. is someone who has bought an import copy... you seem to have forgot about that :D ANGELUS 23-05-2007, 19:36 don't no if any of you will have seen shrek 3 yet but do you think its worth watching I have seen it - as I have it on import - its good, not as good as shrek 1/2 but its a good watch I reckon. Beakerzoid 23-05-2007, 21:03 OR... mr rich.. is someone who has bought an import copy... you seem to have forgot about that :D That will be an import pirate copy (seeing as it has only just had a cinema release Stateside) which is still an illegal copy. Not that I'm being picky or owt :) Word from the US critics has been poor, but from the general public pretty good. I think a lot of critics seem to forget these films are aimed at the kids. lyndix 23-06-2007, 19:23 Just got home from the cinema, been to see shrek 3! Its brilliant. Very very funny. All 3 of our boys(one of which is only 2yrs and has never been to cinema before) sat through it, laughing their heads off, quite a lot of jokes for the grown ups as well. At one point I think I embarrassed them a bit with my hysterical laughter! Well worth going to see, the kids can`t wait for it to come out on dvd so they can buy it! Ghozer 23-06-2007, 19:39 It isn't out till the end of July. Anyone who sees it before then unless they live in US is an evil Pirate who deserves to walk teh plank IMO! uhh, uhh, June 29th actually, :) and i cant wait!! :) Beakerzoid 23-06-2007, 23:05 I was disappointed with it, but agree that kids will love it. Felt too 'same old same old' for me, and I feel the franchise is now going to be slowly diluted more and more (Shrek 4, a Christmas Special, and Puss In Boots spin off are all in the works now). There were some funny moments, but it didn't gel as well as the first two did. Still, it is better than any of the toss Disney have churned out over the past few years. Mr Bridger 24-06-2007, 15:04 Have to agree with above, Shrek 1 & 2 had more about them than this. It was good just not as good from an adults perspective. Having said that the laughter from the kids in the cinema yesterday shows that this still has the elements to keep them entertained, especially anything that contains scenes of baby ogres vomitting and breaking wind. MuteWitness 24-06-2007, 18:46 I went to see Shrek 3 yesturday - Am not a massive fan of the Shrek films but it was enjoyable and am sure my little brother and sister will love it! 04jessops 24-06-2007, 18:47 'The wait is ogre.'
