It's always baffled me as to why it never did as well as the other bars on West Street. Shame if it has closed down.

I was a dive selling over priced, poor quality smoothflow bitter and cr*p lager. The clientelle were little better!

Since 'closing time' is now pretty much the same everywhere, Bar Max was always going to suffer.

It has 'new bar openeing soon' or similar scrawled on the window. No doubt it will be replaced by some other faceless nitro keg bar.

i no the owner was trying to sell the place for ages so maybe he finally got rid and something new and better will take its place!!!
