Also, the location 's a bit depressing to say the least. If I had to guess,well,where they hung Spencer Broughton's body in the gibbet is not too far from there. Maybe that area was used for executions or associated with [long] dead bodies ? Or...maybe they just found somebody dead there in suspicious circumstances,years ago. I don't care if you was a peasant thief - If that poor bloke knew his only landmark on todays society is that of the people who go in the Noose & Gibbet on a Saturday evening he would turn in his grave.
